Maritime Sisters
Sylvia and Marjolein Boer, two energetic lateral thinkers with maritime DNA, often described as super connectors on a mission to make the sector futureproof. A robust, complementary team as sisters, shedding a different light on the sector with their own voice and approach. With a master in international business administration and corporate experience in innovation, communication, and marketing, they support sustainable entrepreneurship and challenge the status quo in every aspect. Bringing out the best in organizations is their strength.
The maritime sector is vital to our society and our future, to connect the world, create new land and provide access to remote places. The world is changing fast and a sustainable footprint is crucial. To stay futureproof we need to set sail into a new direction. Innovation, diversity and collaboration are the switches that need to be flicked.
The workshop
Navigate the future, playing a game based to collect insights on relevant topics with regards to the innovative ecosystem.
What is going on among the attendees, what role do (or can) they play with regards to climate change and how can we smartly harvest the collective intelligence in the room? In an interactive and dynamic way, input will be gathered on relevant themes/issues regarding the innovative ecosystem. Everyone has a voice, smart collaboration is key, people get each other’s views and have fun, while maximum output is collected.
In the workshop ‘Navigating the (maritime) future’ we will share insights, trends & developments, the challenges our industry is currently facing and how we are reframing those into opportunities through smart collaboration, turning a linear into a circular approach and leveraging technological developments.
By empowering the collective intelligence present, we look forward to fruitful discussions and defining new solutions and pathways for a sustainable (maritime) future.
